Sequencing of the genome of some species of wild rice from Nature mag

The Chinese Academy of Sciences, in collaboration with Researchers of Northeastern State University and the University  of Georgia and Athens, identified most of the genes that control the plant’s ability to resist to environmental stress and against parasites by sequencing  the genome of some species of wild rice  O. sativa ( subspecies indica and japonica) and O. glaberrima

Feed the Planet. Energy for life- EXPO Milan-2015


In the World Expo 2015, which will take place from 1st May to 31 October 2015, the greatest technic and scientific innovation concerning food sector, from production to conservation, to distribution.


In previous exhibitions around the world, the countries that were participating without having their own pavilion were grouped in communal areas according to their geographical location. Expo Milano 2015 has decided to introduce a new system of grouping countries without pavilions: the cluster system.
